In sacramental traditions, it is the parents’ responsibility to determine when their child receives Holy Communion. Many choose to do this as soon as their child is baptized. However, Redemption is offering classes on August 7th and 14th to children in or around 2nd grade for those parents who would prefer their children reach an age-appropriate understand of the Sacrament before they receive. Classes are not required but for those who do take both classes, they will get to receive their First Communion on August 21st. Classes will happen during Sunday Service.
